Geisinger recognized for digital health achievement as 2025 Most Wired Survey Recipient for sixth consecutive year
DANVILLE, Pa. – Geisinger has been recognized as one of the “Most Wired” health systems in the country for the sixth consecutive year by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).
CHIME’s annual Digital Health Most Wired survey certifies hospitals from levels 1 through 10, with level 10 demonstrating the greatest use of technology across the industry to improve patient health outcomes. Geisinger is one of only 18 health systems or hospitals nationwide to achieve level 10 certification, the highest recognition, in the ambulatory survey, and level 9 in acute care. To have achieved these levels, CHIME says it “reflects the progress of leading healthcare providers as they reshape the future of healthcare.”
CHIME’s updated survey accounts for the rapid evolution of technology, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence (AI). Geisinger remains on the leading edge of digital innovation, leveraging AI and advanced analytics to enhance care delivery.
CHIME reports that with more than 50,000 facilities represented in the 2025 Digital Health Most Wired program, Geisinger distinguished itself by ranking above peers in key focus areas including clinical quality and safety, analytics and data management, cybersecurity population health, infrastructure, patient engagement and innovation.
“Achieving the level 10 certification in ambulatory care and the level 9 in acute care is a powerful reflection of our commitment to excellence,” said Daniel Bennett, chief technology officer and interim chief information officer at Geisinger, “While this is a technology-centric award, it was earned through the dedication of every Geisinger employee. This achievement showcases our shared priority to lead healthcare forward and our mission to strengthen the communities we serve.”
