Community-based, patient-centered, innovative education
About Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine
As part of Geisinger College of Health Sciences, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine offers a community-based model of undergraduate medical education that emphasizes early clinical exposure and community immersion from day one.
Our innovative Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree curriculum accentuates Geisinger’s deep roots in research and acclaimed strengths in health system science, value-based care and international prominence in genetics and genomics, creating a unique, world-class learning environment where scholars not only learn about and practice medicine, but also become advocates of health, wellness and disease prevention in the communities they serve.
With regional campuses in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Danville, Lewistown/State College, Atlantic City (AtlantiCare) and Sayre (Guthrie), we attract bright scholars from our region, across Pennsylvania and around the nation.
