Program overview
The first year (PGY-4) includes training in outpatient oncology, classical hematology, hematologic malignancy, leukemia and cellular therapy and inpatient consultation. Fellows will also spend time in the infusion center.

In the second year (PGY-5), you’ll train specifically in:
- Apheresis and transfusion medicine
- Radiation oncology
- General outpatient hematology/oncology
- Multidisciplinary cancer care
- Hematologic pathology and coagulation
- Classical hematology
- Consultative hematology/oncology
- Clinical cancer research

The third year (PGY-6) includes training in:
- Medical education and fellows as teachers
- Palliative medicine
- Board review
- Electives
- Research

Fellows are required to complete a capstone research project and have at least 4 months of protected time to design and perform research
